Amazon.com, and many sellers on Amazon.com, offer returns for most items within 30 days of receipt of shipment. Returns should be initiated through the Online Returns Center or by contacting us to receive a return authorization. Most items sold on Amazon.com follow our general returns policies, but some products have different policies or requirements associated with them.

Requirements for a Full Refund
- Items must be in new condition
- Items must be returned with all original packaging and accessories
- Media items (for example, movies, music, video games, and software) must be unopened and still in their plastic wrap
- Musical instruments, televisions, and consumer electronics must have a UPC or serial number

Seller Returns Policies
When you order from a third party seller, your return must go to the seller instead of Amazon.com. While most sellers offer a returns policy equivalent to Amazon.com’s, some seller returns policies may vary. Some sellers, such as wineries, won’t accept returns. However, they may provide refunds. You can view each seller’s return policy in the Online Returns Center. If you have questions before you place an order about a seller’s return policy, please see the seller’s profile page which is linked to from the product page. Shipping and handling charges for returning items shipped by a seller are borne by the buyer.
Items valued at over $75 must be returned to the seller with a trackable shipping service. If the order is valued at $100 or more, insure the shipment for the value of the merchandise and ship your return with a signature shipping service. For items below $75, we suggest USPS delivery confirmation service.
Note: If a package doesn’t arrive and you don’t use a trackable method to return or if you refuse the shipment as a method of return, we may not be able to cover you under the A-to-z Guarantee.
Eligible baby items (including clothing sizes 0-24 months) purchased from Amazon.com and most sellers can be returned within 90 days of receipt of shipment. Returns should be in new and unopened condition. Breast pumps need to be returned unused in their original condition with the factory seal and packaging intact.

Watches, Jewelry, and Collectibles
Items from these categories with a value of $75 or more must be returned using a trackable shipping method. Items valued more than $500 must also be insured. Our Online Returns Center offers two options to help with the process of returning items over $500:
- UPS pickup option: UPS will pick up the return for free if you purchased a product that offers free returns or if the return is the result of our error.
- Insured label option: Amazon will provide a label and you may choose any insured shipping method to return the product. You must pay for the shipping up front, but we’ll happily reimburse you for the shipping cost if you purchased a product that offers free returns or if your return is the result of our error.
All product packaging (boxes, manuals, warranty cards, etc.) and certificates of authenticity, grading, and appraisal must be returned with the item. Any items returned without original documentation will be rejected. Jewelry and watches that have been resized, damaged or otherwise altered after delivery will not be accepted for return.
Fine Art items with a value of $75 or more must be returned using a trackable shipping method. If these items have a value more than $500, they must also be insured.
All product packaging (boxes, etc) and certificates of authenticity and appraisal must be returned with the item. Any Fine Art item returned without original documentation will be rejected. Fine Art items that have been damaged or otherwise altered after delivery won’t be accepted for return.
Before sending a Fine Art return, please photograph the item for your records.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your magazine purchase, please contact the appropriate subscription service provider. In most cases, the magazine subscription can be refunded for any remaining issues. The service provider can also update your address or help with any other concerns you may have.

When you order a subscription to an online newspaper or periodical, you’ll receive a physical packet in the mail with login instructions. If you decide you don’t want the subscription before you’ve opened the packet and accessed the website, you’re welcome to return the unopened packet for a full refund.
If you’ve already opened the packet and accessed the online periodical, then the subscription cannot be canceled.
Automotive Items with a Published Manufacturer’s Warranty
If you have purchased an automotive item shipped from and sold by Amazon.com that is defective and is covered by a manufacturer’s published warranty, Amazon will either replace the item or refund the cost of the item for the life of the published warranty. All other requests are subject to the terms of manufacturer’s warranty and are supported by the manufacturer directly. Please contact Amazon Customer Service for assistance.
For items purchased from a seller other than Amazon.com please contact the seller.
Amazon Basics Warranty Coverage
If you have trouble with your AmazonBasics product after the return timeline has passed, please contact us. We’ll be happy to help you in any way we can, such as replacing the item under the AmazonBasics warranty. Additionally, if you have an AmazonBasics product that is eligible under your AmazonBasics warranty, you can always choose to exercise your rights under that warranty.
All computers sold by Amazon.com are supported by the computer’s manufacturers. In the unlikely event that a computer appears to be defective, please contact the customer support network for the computer manufacturer to have it serviced under warranty.
Amazon.com cannot accept returns of items purchased for in-store pickup from physical Office Depot stores. You can return or exchange these items at any Office Depot location nationwide.

Under the AutoRip program, after you complete a purchase of an eligible AutoRip album, a free MP3 version of that album is added to your Amazon Cloud Player library and is available on your PC or Mac computer or other connected device. If you cancel an order for an AutoRip album or return an AutoRip album and download any tracks on the MP3 version of the AutoRip album from your Cloud Player library (including if you’ve enabled auto-download to a device and any of the tracks on the MP3 version of the album auto-download), you will be considered to have purchased the MP3 version of the album from the Amazon MP3 Store, and we will charge your credit card (or other payment method) the then-current price of the MP3 version of the album (which will be non-refundable and may be a higher price than the physical version of the album). If you cancel your order for or return the album and do not download any of the tracks on the MP3 version from your Cloud Player library, we will remove it from your Cloud Player library and you will not be charged for it.
