This Posi Lock PH-208 two-jaw hydraulic puller has 10 tons of pulling capacity and is used to extract shaft-fitted parts (bearings, wheels, bushings, gears, and pulleys) from housings or shafts where the fit is at the inner edge, reducing the force required to dismount the part. This hydraulic puller (hydraulic cylinder sold one after the other) has a two-jaw construction for working in compact spaces and is constructed of steel to lend a hand prevent rust and corrosion. A hydraulic puller adds speed and precision, and reduces the physical labor required for pulls. A safety cage guides the jaws for solid contact with the work surface, preventing slippage. This puller comes with a jaw set consisting of two external jaws. This Posi Lock puller is suitable for extracting bearings, wheels, bushings, gears, and pulleys in applications within the automotive, agricultural, and manufacturing industries.

Gear and bearing pullers are tools designed to take away mechanical, press-fit parts, such as bearings, bushings, gears, and pulleys, from a shaft, or to take away a shaft from inside a hole. Pullers have three main parts—the center bolt, gripping jaws, and T-maintain—and may also be operated manually or hydraulically. The jaws of the puller form a claw that grips the edge of the gear, which is pulled off the shaft when the screw is turned. Pullers are most often configured with two or three jaws and may also be constructed of iron, steel, or other alloyed metal. Pullers can be utilized manually or may also be powered by a hydraulic cylinder, adding speed and precision, and reducing the physical labor required for pulls. With a hydraulic puller, compressed air is forced through the cylinder by a pump that may be either connected by hose to the puller or is integral to it. Pullers are used in hundreds of applications within the automotive, agricultural, and manufacturing industries, among others.
Posi Lock manufactures pulling jaws, vises, and specialty tools. The company, founded in 1978, is headquartered in Cooperstown, ND and meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9002:1994 standards.
