This Posi Lock PHS-108 three-jaw hydraulic puller with self-contained pump has 12 tons of pulling capacity and is used to extract shaft-fitted parts (bearings, wheels, bushings, gears, and pulleys) from housings or shafts, reducing the force required to dismount the part. This puller has a three-jaw construction, ensuring equal load distribution, safe hold, and concentric pulling action, and is constructed of steel to lend a hand prevent rust and corrosion. A hydraulic puller adds speed and precision, and reduces the physical labor required for pulls. A self-contained, 10,000 pounds per square inch (psi) hydraulic pump is integral to the puller and allows hand pumping for more power. One 1.9″ and two 2.9″ extension rods are also included to extend the reach of the center bolt throughout extraction. This Posi Lock hydraulic puller is suitable for extracting bearings, wheels, bushings, gears, and pulleys in applications within the automotive, agricultural, and manufacturing industries.
|Pulling capacity||12 tons|
|Spread range||0.75 to 12”|
Gear and bearing pullers are tools designed to take away mechanical, press-fit parts, such as bearings, bushings, gears, and pulleys, from a shaft, or to take away a shaft from inside a hole. Pullers have three main parts—the center bolt, gripping jaws, and T-care for—and may also be operated manually or hydraulically. The jaws of the puller form a claw that grips the edge of the gear, which is pulled off the shaft when the screw is turned. Pullers are most often configured with two or three jaws and may also be constructed of iron, steel, or other alloyed metal. Pullers can be utilized manually or may also be powered by a hydraulic cylinder, adding speed and precision, and reducing the physical labor required for pulls. With a hydraulic puller, compressed air is forced through the cylinder by a pump that may be either connected by hose to the puller or is integral to it. Pullers are used in hundreds of applications within the automotive, agricultural, and manufacturing industries, among others.
Posi Lock manufactures pulling jaws, vises, and specialty tools. The company, founded in 1978, is headquartered in Cooperstown, ND and meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9002:1994 standards.
