The DELTA 15-334 Variable Speed Drill Press features a 3/4 HP three-phase 200-volt motor that has a 24-volt push-button, magnetic starter. It has a variable-speed drive allowing you to make a choice a different spindle speed at the same time as the machine is running. The drill maintains proper belt tension mechanically so you’ll be able to at all times have full power transmission. A snubber feature holds speed settings constant no matter the load conditions. The quill is large with a two-inch diameter, and a long quill shuttle means that you can do deep-hole jobs such as skip and gang drilling. The drill features extra-large spindle bearings “6 PLUS 6” and “VS6” spindle and spindle pulleys that are supported by lubricated-for-life ball bearings. The table tilts 90 degrees in both directions and measures 11 x 14 inches. Included is the table, motor and controls, belt and pulley guard, belt and motor pulley, self-locking depth stop, depth gauge, self-ejecting chuck key.
Extra-large spindle bearings 6 PLUS 6 and VS6 spindle and spindle pulley are supported by four over-sized, pre-loaded, lubricated-for-life ball bearings.
Wide, test-proven speed range offers you a true 10-to-1 speed ratio. You get the exact speed you want for each and every drilling job on any material- 450-4,700 rpm with a 1,725 rpm motor.
Quick belt tension release is provided by the pivoting motor mounting plate which has a reverse, self-locking taper on the spring-loaded, rubber-tipped plunger that quickly restores correct belt tension
Extra-long quill shuttle gives the extra depth you want for deep-hole jobs like skip and gang drilling.
Six speeds offer unbelievably wide range of speeds with a low-cost 1,725 rpm motor- 425; 600; 1,100; 2,050; 3,900 and 5,500 rpm- 11.8 to 1 speed ratio.
